6th, 7th & 8th Grade

Often considered the perfect blend of independent and dependent, Mr. Hunt’s students are moving toward more abstract thinking, a deeper understanding of scripture, and becoming Christian role models to younger students . Catechism classes are integrated into their weekly schedule and taught by Pastor Johnson or Pastor Werre. After school, many students choose to add multiple GSL extracurricular activities to their education. Students may participate in sports like cross country, volleyball, basketball, archery, and/or join robotics, forensics/oral interp, or junior choir.

“Our children have been attending Good Shepherd since kindergarten and first grade after transitioning from a public school. We have seen our children grow and be challenged through scripture memorization and Biblical knowledge, as well as the foundational education of literacy, writing, and mathematics. We have made great friendships at Good Shepherd as a family through participating in the PTO, serving lunch, and involvement in extracurricular activities such as basketball, cross-country, choir, and robotics!”
